"I Don't Want to Live on the Moon"
A fellow assistant and bloggy friend posted this video in honor of Sesame Street's 40th birthday, which Google has been honoring all week. Anyways, I thought I'd repost this specific video because it was one of my favorites, and I think it rings especially true now. I am so so so glad I am visiting France, and even living here for a bit, but just like oysters aren't good enough of a family for Ernie, cheese and wine isn't enough for me either.
And then, because I can't get over the idea that I am in any capacity dating someone who hates Elmo, I am posting a video in which he is so cute and helpful. How can anyone not like this?!

Kinz, I feel like that Grover and Elmo video is very similar to our relationship.
ReplyDeleteI like that video a lot.
First of all I would like to praise the folks at Sesame Street for not showing stars where the dark side of the moon is as is often done when showing a crescent moon, one of my pet peeves.
ReplyDeleteAnother one of my pet peeves: individuals who talk about themselves in the third person. Elmo I'm looking in your direction. Looking for a moment at this video though it stands out to me that Elmo is rather boring; he doesn't do anything more than read the alphabet. Grover is supplying all the comedy in this scene adn making it memorable. Furhtermore Elmo has that whole sickeningly cute-sy thing going on. BOOO ELMO!
i never knew how appropriate ernie's song would be, but i feel the exact same as you! its always been one of my favorites (hence the posting), but it really has hit home since i've been in france.
ReplyDeleteElmo's okay, but Grover was the one who always had my heart. Those skits where he was a waiter? BRILLIANT!
